Creede OHV Club

Minutes of July 1, 2010

Following a delightful wiener roast, the July meeting of the Creede OHV Club was called to order by Jerre Guthals, President, at 7:05 PM on July 1, 2010, at the Boy Scout Cabin on Miner'sCreek Road.  Jerre thanked Connie and Linda for setting up, members for bringing delicious side dishes, Jim Martin for supplying the generator, Rex Mobley for the e-mail notifications and the county for the use of the building. Jerre also thanked Jim Martin for supplying the truck and fuel for the COHVCO seminar trip.

A motion was made, seconded and passed to dispense with the reading of the minutes from the previous meeting as those minutes were e-mailed to members.

Linda Martin gave the Treasurer's Report, reporting that there were deposits totaling $98,833.00 ($310 from dues and $98,523.00 from State Parks Grants).  Expenses were $87,260.00 to Arrowhead Trail Construction and $105.00 to COHVCO leaving a remaining balance is $13,653.52.

In the absence of Joel Clark, the Club's Trail Manager, there was no trail report.

Two rides for the month of July were discussed and scheduled as follows:  The first ride will be to Rat Creek/Oso on Wednesday, July 14.  A second ride will be on Saturday, July 24 to Fern Creek, staging at the trail head at 8:15.

No decision has been made by the City of Creede on the proposal to allow ATVs on the back street.

The updated Club pamphlet was passed around for all members to view. No comments were received.
